ModSignal is now ModOrNot
The data engine behind ModSignal hasn't gone anywhere — it has a new name and a clearer purpose.
What changed
ModSignal was pitched as a creator/studio analytics SaaS. ModOrNot is the same underlying Steam Workshop data engine, repositioned as a free discovery site: find the mods worth installing, ranked by live popularity, growth and momentum.
What ModOrNot tracks
We sample public Steam Workshop counts — subscribers, views and favorites — and store them over time to measure growth, velocity and the composite ModSignal Score. Full details are on the methodology page.
Where to go next
ModOrNot is independent and not affiliated with Valve Corporation. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
